On Monday, April 30, 2007, Electrical Equipment Company opened for business at its new location at 1431 Marvin Griffin Road. Perched on the Georgia/South Carolina border, we serve customers in both states on either side of the Savannah River.
With over 75,000 square feet of operating space, our new location has a large, well lit electrical supply sales counter, a large efficient modern warehouse, and the most modern electrical motor and machinery repair facility in the region. The entire building is illuminated with the latest in efficient lighting technology.
We specialize in industrial MRO material, turnkey field service and motor repair, construction material and OEM items. Our most prominent manufacturers include Cutler Hammer, Siemens, Reliance Electric, Toshiba, Hoffman, Thomas & Betts, Crouse Hinds, Philips and Cooper Lighting. We have been servicing large industrial plants and Original Equipment Manufacturers for over 80 years, and have grown to eleven locations in four southeastern states. Our main focus has been meeting the needs of industry with Automation Support, Electrical and Mechanical Services, Electrical Products and Supplies, and MRO Solutions.

The new IMS Repair Facility is well equipped to service all sizes of industrial, commercial, and utility electric motors. Lifting capability exceeds 15 tons. Test capabilities include dynamometer load testing and full voltage testing up to 4,160 Volts AC. The facility is equipped to repair AC and DC motors and also offers other services including dynamic balancing and machine shop services. The isolated winding area insures clean highest quality rewinds, and is equipped for conventional dipping and baking, as well as Vacuum & Pressure Impregnation using Epoxy Resin. Augusta IMS also offers on site and in plant services including laser alignment and vibration analysis.
